Calling all Fishing Addicts - Its that time

Frank and I are boater #1, and we are inviting all GLB members to join us for a trip to Bolles Harbor. We are hoping for 2 more boaters for obvious safety reasons. Proposed dates are:

Nov 29th - Friday
If we can get 5 or more, maybe we hold a mini tournament !!

Anyway, Im building a bonfire on the sand bar if we get 4 or more boats, maybe a cooler of beer, coffee and some hot dogs over the fire........  Anyone with input to add to this stone soup gathering, please join in !!

That would be fun. I'm even off work every one of those days, but I doubt I will be able to make it.

Mine is put away until spring too. But with the way the weather is right now and the outlook for the week, you guys are going to be ice fishing at the mouth of Bolles.  It's freaking cold!!!

Steve, we're working on another boat, see if we can fit you in. I don't mind fishing 3 to a boat. Weather is actually supposed to get nicer on Friday. Maybe even see 40? Will be in the 50's on the hot pond.

Biggest problem I see so far would be ice at the launch. Seeing the news coverage of the guy who jumped into the Sag-Nasty River, there are chunks of ice floating already. Not fun to run a bass boat in.

Maybe Mojo could get the ice breaker Mackinaw to come over and clean the channel out if needed.   No ice on my lake but the little ones have some.

You guys are going to want to check this water guage at Fermi, anything less than 15" and the sand bars and a couple logs start to become very hazardous, on a light wind youl be fine but when it blows out of the west it can drop the water level 2 feet. Last thing you want to do is be stuck in 5" of water (done that) or rip a lower unit and or prop up.

That's it. I'm dropping in the dual ice breaker, shallow running, full XM radio, heated, free drinks boat in the water for this excursion ! My 2012 loaded pontoon fits 6 to fish !

Nothing can stop this mad man from fishing in sub zero weather !

For real? That is awesome. I wouldn't get road salt on those pontoons. You will regret it.
