Hey all.  At our March get-together at BW3 we talked about an April meeting.  Most of seemed ok with Saturday, April 21st at the BW3 on Mound at 12 Mile.  It's close to 696 for the West siders and a good spot for us Eastsiders too.  We discussed the time of 5pm.

So unless there are major objections, let's mark our calendars.

I have to make and ammendment because I'm an IDIOT!  At our last meeting we also discussed the possibility of having the April meeting at BPS if we can get a room.  Then someone suggested we even meet at the Food Court if we can't get a room at BPS.  I was in a huge hurry and feeling the pressure of Easter when I made this post.  So I screwed up and posted the first location that we had discussed that day.  Chris is looking into BPS.  I asked him to help us get this meeting figured out.  Sorry guys.  Ok...back to work now.

We'll need to figure out what our boater/nonboater ratio is to ensure that you'd be able to fish it.  Any chance you can make at least one meeting?  I'm not speaking for the club officially, but my hunch is that we'd want at least minimal participation (a meeting here and there or an event at least once)  I'd also guess that if we don't have the proper ratio for the championship that the more active members would get priority.  Let's talk asap.  We should have our boater/nonboater ratio figured out by the April 21 meeting.  Can you wait until then?

Eric:

so foar we have 4 boaters, and 4 non-boaters signed up and paid, and one more boater looking to join.  We do not have a qualification process in place other than minimal participation, and the date dues were paid.  We have not gotten commitment from everyone paid whose is actually fishing the TBF championship yet?  but certainly, there is no guarantees at this point.  I think it would help clear things up if you can make the april meeting on the 21st, as that is one of the items to discuss.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Jack, I just wanted to make sure I was on the list as a non-boater. I havent been able to make any of the meetings, and the 21st is not good for me either. Thanks, Brian

I hanen't been able to make the meetings yet as well.  I plan on the 21st.  Just let us know the final location.

I have a 16' aluminum boat.  So for Cass and Kent, I can be a boater if need be.  But on Clair.......... I don't think so.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

I just talked to BPS and the training room is set up for us at 5 P.M. on the 21st. The TBF is also scheduled to have a booth there since it is the Angler's Weekend.

Thanks Chris for taking the lead on this and getting it set up.  Now I'm in recovery mode from a crazy busy Easter season.  Wish I could take some time off, but I need to do a 4 week series now.   Maybe in June.  ;D  See ya'll at the meetin' on the 21st at BPS.

I was hoping our lil club could do a pre-season swap meet, but Im thinking we'd look hoky standing outside BPS bartering !!! How bout this idea ? Do we want to do a 20 minute swap before launch ? Thats tough cause everyone is ready to fish?

Maybe afterwards ? Thats tough cause lots of folks are tired by then ?

Maybe we infact bring our gear upstairs (get your sticker at the door) so we can have it in closed doors ? I think that a good idea. Your thoughts ?

Maybe after the event??  I don't have much to trade anymore.  Gave most of it away recently.  I'm open to whatever ya'll wanna do.

BPS was really great in their accommodations for us, their offers for future demos, and the discount (which I used  :P ). It's not too bad of a drive from here so I am up for that again sometime. Plus it was good to see some new guys!
I was a little worried at 5 til 5 and I was the only one up there.  ;D but it was a good turnout for the weather and others' previous commitments.

I'm glad so many showed up.  It was great to see Rick and Luke again since I only met you guys the one time.  Glad you're aboard!  Looking forward to Saturday.  O, I'm really glad you're coming.  It was awesome to see ya.  Let's get together soon for coffee.  I was hoping to talk to you more on Saturday, but I was helping Steve out since he was on his crutches.  Chris, thanks for getting that meeting together!

Been lining up which rods to bring based on the info you guys gave on Saturday.  Tuff being a nonboater.  Means I cut it down to only 4 rods.
lol

Really looking forward to the start of the season, and starting it off with "the group".

The secrets??  I could tell ya but then I'd have to kill ya.  ;)

Seriously though, we tried our best to figure out who all was attending the Cass event and we did pairings.  Jack has them.  Brian, we put you down as a boater and your dad as a non-boater.

Other than that, we reviewed a map of Cass and used some of our information from last year's outing to show those who have never been on that lake what to expect and where to look for prespawners and maybe some bedding fish if any have moved up.

That was about it.  The rest of the time we shopped.  I think just about everyone went home with some goodies from BPS that day.

Can we go over a map at the launch on saturday, the only time I have been on the Lake is when I test drove the boat before buying it. Thanks

Absolutely.  Dan will likely talk us through some things before we head out onto the lake as well.  That's how he did it last year.

I think that we will all pretty much be in a group of boats moving around the lake together. I have never been on Cass either.
When we went over the map at the meeting Jack and Tom pretty much covered the whole lake with good spots.  :) From small 2' deep bays down long channels to steep drops into 100' of water.
I know that I will be following those guys around to see where to go and hopefully we can see what the pattern is early in the day.
