Not sure on weight as I didn't have a scale, and yes, my arm was a little extended in the picture. Measured 24.5" on a golden rule though.

Any guesses on weight?

Based on fish I've caught over the years, I'd guess 24.5" to be closer to 7 lbs than 6 lbs.  I'd put that one in the 6.5-6.75 lb area for a Michigan bass.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

My biggest weighed largie was 7.5lbs. 25 and 3/4 inches and full of spawn/bluegills.

Biggest tournament smallie was 5.89 about 10 years ago.

A 10 + on the big O, man I miss fishing there..............

Caught several 6+ and one 7.1 out of my lake about 10 years or so ago.  Got them like that on a normal basis.   My prettiest one that was 6.9 came outa  a lake over by Gaylord knowen more for its native trout population than its bass fishing

And still to date, The best catch ever while fishing for bass ;D

I've got a bigger one!

Good thing you included a picture... clarification was needed for that reply... ;D

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Hmmmmmm Well, my biggest largemouth in Michigan isn't very big. 5.0 pounds.  I've been fortunate enough to catch 4 smallies in the 6 pound range.  The first was 6.3 on East Grand Traverse Bay, the next a 6.2 on St. Clair followed by a 6.1 on Burt and a 6.0 on Mullet this fall.  I need to start going the opposite direction on size !!!!!  They keep getting smaller !!!!  Maybe this season.   :)
