Volunteer schedule for the 2014 Ultimate Sport Show Grand Rapids. GreatLakesBass.com will be in booth 1927 at the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids. Volunteers who work at least 2 hours will get a free exhibitor pass to the show that is good for the whole show and free parking while you're working the booth as long as you help at least two hours.

You will get more details in the private volunteers area of the forum. You will be able to see it once I add you to the temporary show group. I need people who can talk to others in an outgoing, friendly fashion about joining the websites - mostly GreatLakesBass.com and GreatLakesIceFishing.com, handing out stuff and just answering general questions about fishing. NO ALCOHOL in the booth. No sales of items not pre-approved by me before the show.

This is only a 10x10 booth so please no extra people behind the table who are not on the volunteer list. The schedule can be adjusted some to accommodate people willing to help who can't fit one of the existing time slots. THANK YOU for your HELP! We will also be getting petition signatures for Citizens for Professional Wildlife Management - www.citizenswildlife.com.

I have a seminar opening day Thursday on the hawg trough from 5pm - 6pm. Also have the Super Bass Clinic Saturday 3pm-5pm so I can definitely use some extra help during those times.

We could use 1 or 2 persons for 45 minutes after the show ends Sunday for tearing down and packing the booth into my car. If 1 or 2 of you can help, that would be awesome! I may not actually leave then depending upon how much help Wayne needs at his booth since he is still recovering from his injuries. But if I'm done quick I can help them get done quicker too! All volunteers will be added to and/or extended in the special GLBass Friends group and you will have my eternal thanks and appreciation!

Thanks guys!! I've updated the schedule with what I believe you all offered up. Let me know if I missed or screwed something up. Or if your schedule changes.

You should all be able to see the private USS GR Volunteers board at the top of this section now which will have further information on exhibitor badge pick up and exhibitor parking, things like that. Thanks!!

LGMOUTH

Dan, just Put me in where you need me. I will be there all four days as usual so any time works.
When you are in any contest you should work as if there whereto the very last minute a chance to loose it.

djkimmel

Okay! Going to put you to work! :D I have a note about something a little later this year?? Guess I better not work you too hard.

Would like to help Dan, but with so much personal stuff going on right now I can't commit. Hope you understand. If I can find an opening and snag a free pass somewhere I'll be sure to stop by and see if you're covered or not.

I didn't expect you to take the time to comment. Use your time for your family. Don't worry about the booth. If you need a short break just come on down and walk around. Breaks can be important sometimes. Stress reduction.

We're a little sparse Saturday and Sunday yet. I know someone still wants to come down and hang out for a couple hours swapping fish stories?!? What else ya gonna do?!? Ice fish?? You'll need a good gas auger this year yet. I bet you can pick one up at a good price at the Ultimate Sport Show Grand Rapids!! ;D

PS: If you're feeling kind of new and shy - working the show booth is a GREAT way to get the new member shine buffed right out to 'everybody knows me!!' :D I'm a shy redhead and I blush bright red easy! I survive. You will too! Hang out with me and you're ALWAYS the 'normal' one!! ::)

If you're on the volunteers schedule already you should be able to see the USS GR Helpers Info board (you cannot see this board if you're not a volunteer so don't click these links).

If you haven't yet, make sure you check out the post you need to see: Volunteer Information including Badge Pickup 2014 Ultimate Sport Show GR (don't click this link if you're not on the volunteer schedule).

Here is the 2014 Ultimate Sport Show Grand Rapids show floor plan. The exhibitor info applies only to volunteers on the list, but the rest, including the location of the GreatLakesBass.com / GreatLakesIceFishing.com booth 1927 is for the rest of you so you can find things when you come on down!

I'll add you both to my list. Let me know about what part of the days you want to help and for how long.

You can stay at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. Within walking distance close by but it looks pretty fancy. Seen some top hats there... don't know how much a room goes for but it's nice.

I know people often stay at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown. Still a little higher because it's downtown but it seems nice - I've stayed there in the past some time ago. Only a few blocks away from the show.

Quite a few other places around the area but I haven't stayed at any of them. My budget minded friends stay out near the edges of town - bunch of places with lower prices but still varying selection and quality on 28th St just off of I-96 before you get into town. I think my friends have stayed at the Red Roof Inn there. Only 10-15 minutes from there to DeVos though you need to add in about 15 minutes if you use the exhibitors park and ride option (which I recommend).

I'm spending a couple nights at 'Shay Genie' but he is all booked up (only 1 room ;D ).
