Thinking about fishing Portage lake in Pinckney this weekend. Does any one know what time the launch opens? And how is the fishing out there right now?

TimH

If I remember correctly, the launch opens at 8:00AM

The launch definitely opens at 8 AM.
Water temps yesterday were in the mid sixties.  Clarity was pretty good.
Water levels very high.  Current by the launch is as much as I've ever seen.
I saw a pontoon get stuck on the bridge.
I'm not sure my Ranger would even go under the bridge.
If not there is a canal that would allow one access to the river.  It takes longer, but is probably do-able.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Did you see any numbers of spawners out there?
