Has anyone been to houghton lake yet, Ive been there three times and the wind has blown everytime. Theres a lot of dead water there and rough water to, I hope people that are fishing that nbaa classic have long shaft trolling motors and 70 pound plus thrust or you will be stuck in a canal somewhere. I was there Friday and there where 3 to 4 foot waves in the westend a little rough on the back but if you find the fish you will find a bunch and good size too prolly take all of 20 plus to win it up there.

I doubt a 20 pound bag will take 1st, my estimation is less.  I would imagine anything around 15 or 16 tops would put you right in contention.  You have to be on smallies on houghton too.  if your not, it will be tough to finish in the money.  There are plenty of greenies to be caught, but most are cookie cutters--1-2pounds.
I am haunted by waters.
