Secord Ramp

Has anyone else heard rumors of a new DNR ramp being built on Secord Lake? If so , where?

Heard rumors. Even saw a post or articles or news piece on it... but where and when??? It will come to me... eventually.

I'm stuck right now on recently reading about a new site on the Cheboygan River that a DNR ramp will be built on - but probably a year or two away yet. Seems like before I read about that one, and after I read about the Walloon and Crystal Lakes issues, I read something about Secord.

From what I know it will be on the east side of the lake about half way up the lake.  I have no idea what the road names are on that side of the lake.  For what its worth, I was on Secord Thursday.  Water temps about 67 and the fishing was great.

Isn't that about where the old tiny MDNR ramp is? A tricky ramp the past time or two I launched therer. I was glad I had a 4 wheeler back then the last time I used it. Maybe they will improve the existing ramp and add more parking?
