 was checking out results from opening weekend tournament on OBM's website & i see i got dumped for "McCarter himself"!!!! ron will never here the end of it..just kidding, brian - i've fished the last 2 yrs w/ron on that tournament. couldn't fished it anywho and a first has i didn't even wet a line that weekend as i was working a 2nd shift shut-down over in windsor. ron's a all around great guy. nice boat too...
if it feels good - SET THE HOOK!!

Yeah, RVG and me are like peas and carrots.  We should have done a touch better in that tournament.  Our average size bass pre fishing was 3.5lbs all day long.  Ended up losing one fish that would have put us in the money but we landed about 12 keepers that day fishing a pattern that doesnt get you many bites but the ones you get are usually good.  So losing one isnt too bad i guess.  Good news is we both executed well and i think i may have shook that monkey that has been haging around.  I did miss a few strikes but they hit hard and fast and just werent there on the hookset.  I hit em quick tho.  I think they were aggressive post spawn smallies cuz a couple times they bit my bait in half but never got the hook.

Hats off to the winners.  21 lbs and change, now thats a bag!
