I started looking into Thompson lake and I'm finding that their daily pass costs $20!!! There doesn't look to be any way around it either.

Anthony, were you aware of this?

I vote cancel thompson and replace it with st clair ;D
Im sure we would get a bigger turnout with better fishing plus Im not interested in paying $20 to launch a couple times in a lake I realy dont want to fish.

They are waving the launch fee to 5.00 for our event.

If you plan to practice it a few times it is cheaper to buy a yearly.

The problem with buying a yearly pass to this lake is you have to live in one of the townships that is in the Howell rec pact. They don't just sell them to anybody. So if you don't live in the rec you pay 20. to fish for a day. I have lived in Howell township for 17 years and they dropped out about 5 years ago and really made a mess of things. I can't even get a pass to fish a lake that is less than a mile from my house.
Remember you don't quit fishing when you get old, you get old when you quit fishing

Anthony has contacted someone at the launch and has approval for charging $5.00 for launch fee. The only thing I need from you guys (besides the 5 bucks) is your license plate number. I have to give it to the people to verify us. Thanks is advance.

Just a heads up ...

Several ABA members have went to Thompson lake and practiced and did not have to pay the 20$ fee...

If I were to go to St. Clair it would cost me at least $80 in gas just to run my boat... I bet I wont use $3.00 bucks in gas on thompson.

Thompson is an awesome fishery from what i can tell. I suspect that almost everyone will limit out.
