Registration for this One on One event will start at 5:00 am and take off will begin at approximately 7:00 am with check in at 3:00 pm.

The top 20 teams plus a wildcard in this One on One Super Qualifier will automatically qualify for the championship to be held on Gun Lake on August 26 out of Leaders Marine. Doug partook of this event yesterday. Went up to the same spot we did for the Super Big Bass tourney. He came in with 3 fish for 9.34 with a kicker fish..and big bass of the event at 4.94.... .06 from a 5lb license plate...lol. He won $80 and a very nice big plaque. He is now Qualified to fish the 1 on 1 Championship to be held on Gun Lake. If Doug had one more fish...his total would have been $470...lol....ooops.

The next Super 1 on 1 Qualifier will be held August 4th at Coldwater Lake. Check in time starts at 5am and Launch will be at 7am. The top 20 boats will go to the Championship. I hope to see most..if not all.. of you there. The entry fee for this event is $60, that includes big bass.

Tough Bite - Muskegon Super Qualifier!
Sokolowski Wins One on One Shootout!

The bite was less than perfect for the anglers that showed up for the first ever One on One Super Qualifier on Muskegon Lake. Even know the bite was tougher than normal several fishermen came in with their limits of fish and leading the pack from the east side was Tom Sokolowski. Tom's five fish limit topped the scales at just under 11 pounds to give him the victory. Second place went to the local legend Chet Reed who brought in 10.39 lbs. Following in a close third was shallow water expert Scott "Wreckin' Ball" Dye, Scott's limit of fish weighed in at 10.37. Big bass honors went to Doug Scott who came up just a little short of a coveted 5 # license plate. Doug's giant smallmouth tipped the scales at 4.94 pounds, better luck on that license plate next time Doug.

It was a fun day for all who participated and we would like to give a special thanks to Steve Krause who came over from Wisconsin to fish this event. Steve and all of the others that fished in this Super Qualifier are now qualified for the One on One Championship at Leaders Marine on Gun Lake.

Remember there's only one more chance to qualify to go to the championship through the Super Qualifier trail. The next event will be on Coldwater Lake going out of Lake Drive Marine on August 4th. If you have any questions on this event please contact NBAA and they'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
