The purpose is to see if we can come up with date that enough members can fish to have it. I do NOT want to have another East/SE event this year - 1 a year is enough for now. We'll do that again next spring. This is for the middle and west part of the state, but will only be held if the interest is high enough. There are no really open dates, just looking for a compromise. All members are eligible to fish.

Sept. 8th or 22nd would be my choices. Sept.15th & 16th is the BFL Super.

Voted for Oct., but all these will work for me!!!
Live to fish, Fish to live.

VinceR

I voted for Oct., also. The Sept. 29th date will work, too. I plan to fish the LSCN "Toad Fest" on Sept. 22nd, at Lake St. Clair.

Hooksetter

I voted for the 22nd, but the 29th will work for me also. As long as it is not on the 13th I will be there.

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Okay, I'm going to whine here...does it HAVE to be a Saturday?  For me, Saturdays in Sept. are bad, Sundays good.  Any Sunday in Sept. is good.  I would like to fish one of these.   :'(

Durand Dan

I voted fro 9/29, but any of those dates are fine ;D

Revtro

Can't do the 22nd.  I have a major event I have to attend that day.  Keep in mind, Sundays are bad for all the church going anglers out there...and there are quite a few.  I could never do a Sunday because church is more than just something I love to do... it's also my job.  ;D

Dan,
I am changing my vote to the 29th. (Just signed my son up for a hunter safety class on the 22nd). Go with whatever day and lake the concensus says, but I would love to make it if I can.

Is there any lakes in mind yet by chance? I would love to fish it, but only have the weekend of the 29th off.

Dan,,I know you may not want to hear this,But, I am not going to vote because I don't want to sway it in case I can't fish.  If I qualify for the BFL Regional those last weekends in September may get really busy as I try to get caught up on things so I can head to Iowa for a week.
If I am able to fish it I should be able to fish as a boater or non-boater so I shouldn't screw things up to bad if I opt in.

Dan,
You can nix my vote for Cadillac/Mitchell on the other post.  I didn't vote on this one yet.

Unfortunately, I've got scheduling conflicts every one of those dates and won't be able to make it.  Sundays would work OK but I've got something going on every Saturday from the 22nd of Sept on.

If dates change and I can make it, I'll be there wherever you have it.

I'm thinking it's going to be the 29th. Less than perfect, but maybe the best all around choice?

I'll announce the final choice Monday night.

Sorry I can't make it the 29th,  already signed up for South Centrals Fall open.  Dang and I so wanted to fish this one.  Oh well there is always next year.

Well, I had a long weekend at work so I put any tough decisions off for last night. I see neither date is ideal nor overwhelmingly popular. But I have to say my biggest concern is that I seem to have almost no one coming from the west side in the end.

I don't want to hold an event with almost no one there. And I don't want to ask guys to drive a real long ways with these gas prices.

Would the west side people 'raise' their hands to show who would come and say what day?

I was thinking Hamlin because it is a pretty good lake, but it is a looonnnngg way for any east siders too. I figure I'd lose some people.

Remember this is about fun and getting together - which won't work if hardly anyone shows. The priority is to get a decent showing.

I'm thinking more like Ovid, or maybe Chippewa at the most. Or maybe Muskegon if that would get a few more east siders to travel? I'm pretty much set that it should be the 22nd or the 29th.

I think what I'm really looking for is how many anglers want to fish it and it won't stop them if it isn't on the exact right lake? Especially west side anglers.

I will be there if it's the 22, I'm committed on the 29th to be in Jackson for our fall open.

I don't really care what lake it's on,  although I would love it to be on Hamlin.  I don't know where ovid or chippawa lakes even are,  Muskegon would be good though I know where that one is!  I have been wanting to fish one of these opens for a couple of years now and haven't been able to make it.

So my husband and I will both be there as long as the dates work for us.

So my hands wavin'  I'll be there no matter what lake as long as the date works. :D

Withour reading the entiore thread, what lake are you considering on the west side before I vote?
I am a pre bred mix between a ninja and a polar bear.  A truly deadly combination.

Sept 29th or Oct 13th works for me, I am in a wedding Sept 22. I would like to fish Hamlin,Muskegon, or Hardy. It sounds like many westsiders want to fish it, so it might be safe to fish the westside. Regardless of what lake I will be there unless Sept 22nd is the chosen date or something else comes up.
