The Tear Drop tourney article and stats sheets are up on the teardropbass.com website. We had 20 boats gave away a $1000  and all but one boat had a limit of 5 bass and the one that didn't had three bass.

I went to your website and read the very nice article. I am the assistant director of the Kelloggsville club you mentioned. We also had a very good time up there. We had 29 boats show up and 20 had limits. Mostly all 14-15" clones. There were only 2 fish weighed over 3 lbs. My partner and I were fortunate to win 1st place with 11.05, barely beating the 2nd place team who had 11.00 (including the 3.6 lb Big Bass of the tourney). We will certainly go back again some time!

Nice to meet you. The Kelloggsville Church really hit it big when they established the Sportsperson Club. I have been to a number of your seminars at the church. I love how you set them up to include kids and funnel them off to a make it and take it workshop. You guys have some clout to be able to get KVD to come as many times as you have. Looks like a great group with a great idea.
Did you take a look at the daily blog I have been trying to keep up on the teardropbass.com website. It's the bottom button on the left side of the main page.  I have been trying to put material up that people may not have the time to surf and get and put it in a format that they could use maybe on a lunch hour.

Thanks! I wish I could take more of the credit but I can't. The Lord has blessed the ministry through the hard work of LOTS of people. I jumped in when they started the tournaments in 2003. It was only about 6-8 boats then (mostly 12'-14' small fishing boats). The next year it started growing and I fished 7 of the 9 events and won angler of the year. That's when they asked me to be involved and help plan/run the tourneys. Long story short, my current partner, Rich Hale, and I now handle it all and we have been drawing 40-45 boats (mostly bass boats and some really good fishermen). Of course there are drawbacks. It is harder to pick lakes/launches to handle the size and we are seeing less families (husband/wife, dad/kids) show up. If the manpower allows, I'd like to see it broken into an "Elite" series and a weeknight 'family/bluecollar" series. It all comes down to volunteers. Feel free to contact me directly anytime.

PS - My partner is putting on a charity event on Hardy Pond on Aug. 25 to raise money for a young lady family member with cancer. If you would like details to help promote it, get in touch.
