Well, disappointing more this year than last, i'm afraid.  It's probabally me though, I've been going to these since the early 70's. Every year we lose fishing booths and gain who knows what. (windows, furnaces, knives, signs, relishes, even chiropracty? for heavens' sakes) Well, i'll go look at the animal rescue and see some critters. Nope. Not there.Wait, it's listed in the program though....This was the first time that I didn't spend money. But if you're looking for a new boat, tubes, or some sweet imported baits, or ANYTHING ice fishing, this show is for you. I'll spend my money over at the lure swap @ Bob's. Good luck to all....later

It's been like that for years
For me it's more of a winter social event

I didn't have time to hit any this year but the seminars are what make the show worth attending....

Pretty much the.same every year.  Great socializing time.

Something to do in MI during the winter.  Gets you out of the house.  Helps curb the urge to fish.

I enjoyed it very much and I appreciate all of you who made it down. Now to get ready for Outdoorama at the end of February!

Mike's RX is really about the only booth I spend time in but I did pick up a few Dock Monkey jigs from Kustom Kicker Jigs and one of those unique swim jigs with the blades (looks a bit like a mini unbrella rig) from them as well.

Other than that, drank a few beers, caught up with some friends, drooled over and in some boats, sampled some jerky and had a few laughs!

Did everyone get a chance to check out all the cool new blade/swim lures by Kustom Kicker Jigs?? They now have a Titanium spinnerbait designed with the body of the Depo$it Swim Jig that may end up being great for running through weeds. I will have to try one this spring for sure.

They also have a new lure which is the Depo$it Swim Jig with a hole drilled through the head so parallel wires are run along the sides with a willow leaf spinner blade on then end of each wire. Looks great in the hawg trough swimming it along! Can't wait to try that one too.

I don't know if they are going to make them commercially though owner Dan Hatchew seemed to be leaning that way but they had a 3 arm swim bait / umbrella rig / spinnerbait rig they were demoing too that looked wild in the water of the hawg trough. Someone ended up bidding for and buying the prototype at the show.
