McCarter

I found this today.  Never seen or heard of anything like it before.  Seems like a good idea, tho i cant find anything else about it on the web.

If it works and doesnt hurt the fish, this would be an awesome alternative to fizzing and belly weights.

My buddy Don, when he won down in Vermillion, Ohio said that the guys from BASS that took the fish and deflated bladders went through the mouth to do it. I had never heard of that before, but he assured me that's how they were doing it.

At first... I thought McCarter had a new... and serious medical problem... 'HOW did I miss this before!?!'

But now I see the title is misleading. Actually, some biologists recommend fizzing through the throat because you are less likely to puncture an important organ killing the bass anyway. If the fish is caught really deep, you may likely see the air bladder poking into the throat - a real problem for a fish that needs to be treated long before the bass gets to the weigh in.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
