Hot off the press, here is the big announcement for 2008. Straight off the NBAA website.

NEW SPONSORSHIP, NEW PROGRAMS TAKE NBAA TO THE NEXT LEVEL!

The word is out and it's great news for NBAA anglers – we have joined forces with the top dogs in bass fishing! That's right - Tracker Marine, Nitro Boats, Bass Tracker and Mercury Outboards have joined Bass Pro Shops as NBAA national sponsors. With this new partnership will come a huge increase in prizes, greater exposure for our anglers, the top boater rewards program in the country and a chance to compete in the BPS Tour. Details will be rolling out over the next few weeks and you won't believe the support that NBAA members will receive.

NBAA members will enjoy more benefits than ever before. While some details are still being worked out, commitments for prize upgrades, more top level prizes, a great cash rewards program and chances to advance to the next level in bass fishing have already been made. If you're thinking of buying a new boat this year, hold off until you look into the great rewards program that is going to be offered by Tracker Marine – you'll want to be fishing out of a Bass Tracker or Nitro boat this season.

This is a big season for NBAA and its members – new divisions, new sponsors, and new programs. Come by and see us at the shows, give us a call or drop us an email with any questions and be sure to stay tuned for more information!
When you are in any contest you should work as if there whereto the very last minute a chance to loose it.

Darn! Wouldn't you know it? Your Tracker, Nitro or Procraft boat has to be a 2005 or newer. Mine's a 2004!!

Time for a new one

VinceR

I hear you. I'm trying to convince my "Secretary of Finance" that a new 210 Super Pro would sure look good in the garage (along with the other benefits).

I've heard that the sponsor change happened in time to affect the Championship, this year. The three prize boats for the Ohio River Championship will be Nitros. Supposedly the boats will be 18 footers w/150 H.P., and they will be awarded to the winners of the Weekend Championship, the Overtime Championship, and the Ultimate Championship. There will be no raffle boat, this year.

LGMOUTH

Yes they are giving away Nitros at the classic this spring, The giveaway boats are Nitro Z6 with 115hp.

I wondered about that. When I spoke with Jim Sprague at Novi, I asked him if there were any plans to upgrade from the 90 H.P. powered 17 footers to something a little larger (this was before he said anything about the switch to Tracker/Nitro). That was when he said that the change had been made, and that the boats would be Nitro 18' with what I though I heard him say 150 H.P. (Maybe he did say 115 H.P. and in all of the noise, I heard 150). I have to admit, I left thinking that was a big (albeit welcome) upgrade.

Excuse me while I remove this size 13 from my mouth.

Well... you know what they say about guys with BIG feet...

It's harder to get the shoe out of their mouth!!! ;D :o

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

The irony of it is that it seems to go in without a problem.
