A 40+ fish day on St. Clair will change those perceptions for sure.  ;D  Hope you can get down here soon to experience the amazing spring fishing.  Anytime you and hubby want to come down and try it out, I'd be happy to show you around.  This truly is S.E. Michigans best fishery.

Dan you know Team Mad Wags will be there.  Count me in as a non boater.  I'll show up with Dave as usual.

Thanks for the invite Rev,  will keep that in mind,  I would love to experience it once I have heard so much about it.

That is why I was so dissappointed that we couldn't make it.  It's not even full blown summer yet and life is getting busy!

It seems pretty stable now so I can do a match tomorrow and post it by the end of the day in a new thread.

I'm going to be coming as a non-boater now, seeing how my boat is starting to look less and less appealing in the water.  Sorry to post so late.

Weather report for Saturday looks a little Iffy...Rain, with winds out of the W 20mph with Gusts over 34mph....It won't break my heart to fish Largemouths in the canals.....I hear they have been spanking them...I had a blast in there last year..
By the way Dan K I am solid as a Boater...I took my boat out on it's maiden LSC Voyage today with Revtro in his boat Babysitting me in case I had any issues...The boat checked out great...All is good..

djkimmel

So much for stability. I will wait until tomorrow night to do a draw. Got 1jav and mojo changed/added.

Well, that helps moto... can you fish the whole day now as a boater? (C'mon, Lake St. Clair we're talking about...)

I was going to hook you up with UAWBD, but won't now. Anyone else wanting to leave early?

Lets hope for better weather.  Lots of time for forecast change and I don't know about you, but have you noticed the long term forecasts seem worse than usual this year??

Ok - forgot to mention I've had a few alternate notices from people so I believe the lists in the boater/nonboater thread are up to date. Ranger_Boats_Team_North and buddy can't make it.

It just dawned on my that MiBassKid is not down here as making it???? Shocking!! I've been saying, 'see you there' every time I talk to him. Guess I just assumed he'd be there, and I don't recall him saying he can't make it??

bigjc, haven't heard back from you yet?

Please everyone, even if the weather isn't perfect, there are places to fish, and a west wind means all of the west shore (Mile Roads) where many of us will fish anyway is still in good shape. If you have to cancel, please notify me ASAP 517-882-8902. I want to make sure everyone gets out fishing that wants to.

I will be coming as a boater and I think Chuck Reese will be fishing (non-boater I believe, but maybe boater if necessary) also.

No I can't make it this time Dan, baseball games every Saturday this year. I thought I told you at the Lansing Show I wasn't going to come but maybe not...I wish I could come! You really don't know how good St Clair is until you actually fish it. I hope I can get down there at least once this year. By the way...no bass today, one HUGE crappie and a small pike both on a jerkbait. Pike put the hook into my finger almost all the way up to the barb, but that's what you get for not being prepared.

Dan...I plan to take the day off and fish all day...YEEEHAHHH!! I am working today(Sunday) so that should make up for Saturday...
You are right about not worrying about the  weather...Skip said he caught like 100 LM in the Canals on Saturday...There is also the breaks in Anchor Bay and the Bay just south of Harley...I have never fished the bay, but I have heard it is a good spinnerbait area in the early spring..
The extended forecasts haven't been too accurate lately anyway..

motocross269

Dan, If UAWBD needs to leave early I can ride with him also..I just won't take saturday off and that would be cool too..Whatever works best for you guys..I only Live a few miles from LSC so I am open to whatever is best for the good of the group..I just need to know by tuesday so I can let work know either way..

djkimmel

You can never have too many days on LAKE ST CLAIR!!! I need boaters at the moment, so I'm hoping you'll fish with us and as I mentioned in the other list thread, I'll take good care of BD somehow...

The big largies are on fire in the canals right now, it blew 30+ all day saturday and we spanked both species with very little effort, metro canals, macrays canals, basicaly any canal is loaded up with 4 lb largies right now, its about as good as it can get!

Dan - i'm in as a non-boater, but if the list gets too short for boaters, just let me know and i can bring my boat. Maybe i can get paired with someone who knows the area however, as i've never been within 10 miles of lake st. clair, let alone on it.

Dan, I am still in as a non boater. I have been at Norman. That is the reason for the silence on this end.

djkimmel

Ok - thanks for the updates. If no one lets the possible weather scare them away, we are close - I better read all the messages first though... the goal of this event is to make sure everyone catches bass.

I fished st clair again today mostley in the canals for largies, Ive got bass thumb so bad its not funny, I cant fish and count to 100 at the same time but I got close before I lost track, I think we will be able to get everybody on fish.
