Are you mostly fishing the Canals at Metro or are there some other ones I should be looking at??? I am just starting to learn the lake...so any help I can get if the weather is bad and we have to run to calmer water would be great..

Eric

I just talked to Chuck, and he cannot fish Saturday.  I will still be there as a boater though.

I fished st clair again today mostley in the canals for largies, Ive got bass thumb so bad its not funny, I cant fish and count to 100 at the same time but I got close before I lost track, I think we will be able to get everybody on fish.
Sounds good to me. It will be my first trip there with my boat. If the weather is decent I'll check out the lake, if not the canals sound like they will do just fine ;D

Brian all the canals are great right now, I just got home from another trip to st clair and this cold front doesnt seem to be slowing things down much., I need to take a few days off and let my thumb heal up.

You can never have too many days on LAKE ST CLAIR!!! I need boaters at the moment, so I'm hoping you'll fish with us and as I mentioned in the other list thread, I'll take good care of BD somehow...

I am again sorry.  I will not be able to make it as I said in an earlier post.  I don't think it would be fair to the rest of the anglers or anyone else if I cannot be there for the whole thing.  Again I apologize but my kids will always come first.  I am going fishing that day but I want to be on the water by the crack of dawn and off the water by 1230 hours.  I wish I could make it for the duration.  I probably won't be going to St. Clair because I will want to maximize my time.  Although you never know.  Sorry I have to opt out.    :'(  I am actually thinking about going to Brest Bay in Erie that day.  I am curious to see if the smallies have moved up in there yet.  Brest Bay in May and June can yield some excellent quality.  I have always said that if you want to catch numbers, go to St. Clair.  If you want steady 3 to 5 pounders, go to Erie.

Thanks for thinking of me DK.  You owe me nothing.  I am just happy to be apart of the best forum on the web.  I am honored that you think that highly of me.  Again good luck to all the anglers that will be attending.  I sure wish I could make it.  God Bless you all.

BD                  ;D

Oh yeah...........I already got this thing won, I just won't be able to make it.  How's that for confidence DK!!!    :o     ::)     ;)

Um? Who is Chuck? I don't have a Chuck on the list? Wait - are you talking the character known as CR (and also a BOATER!?!)

Not only am I not sure who Chuck is, but I did not have you down as being there at all Eric. Did you post earlier? Or tell me? Well, regardless, I need boaters now so I'm glad to have you along.

Understand BD.

Durand Dan, all the details are on the first page, post 3 of this thread, but I will post again in a new thread.

Please check out the boaters / nonboaters thread list also in the DK open board to make sure I have your screen name on the right list. Thanks.

Right now, if no one else cancels, I'm three off over on nonboaters assuming Chuck is CR - a boater canceling per Eric (I could be guessing wrong, but I can't think of any other 'Chucks'). Still 2 over.

I don't mind taking 2 people in my 20+ footer. Boaters, please PM me if you prefer to only have 1 nonboater so I can do the draw tomorrow. Thanks.

cr

Dan , I'm Charles -CR- but not the Chuck that Eric is talking about . I'm still in as a boater and if need be I would be willing to take two non's , unless someone else has a bigger boat than my Z 520 . Let me how it work's out .......Charles

djkimmel

Z520!!!!! You are one LUCKY dude. Thanks for the update. I was hoping you'd still make it.

Now who the heck is Chuck?

Dan,

Im pretty sure I can make it now, but havent had time to get my boat out yet this year so I would have to be a Co-Angler. I will let you know for sure tomorrow.
