I saw an add in a magazine for a reel company called ARDENT reels. I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with them. I am getting ready to order one, but the price tag is $250.00  Their web site is www.ardentreels.com I have talked to them on the phone and they seem like good people. I did find out that every reel is practiced cast and if they cant reach 100 ft with it, it dosent go into the box and if i buy it and try it out a little bit and dont like it I can return it. So what do I have to loose. Ya, I think i will just order 1 or 10 and see.

i haven't tried them yet but if they made a adult magazine for fishing reels this would be at the center fold...

Hey Kev...If I had $250 bucks burning a hole in my pocket (which I don't), I would look at a Chronarch Mg and compare it to the Ardent.  The Ardent only holds 10 yards more line, but the Mg is nearly 3 ounces lighter...

Thanks jeff.
I own 3 chronarch mgs now and I love them. I always like to try the newest best thing and compare it to what I already have. So, I will buy 1 or 2 and see how they do and let all you board members know.

Only 3?  :D  Should you like the Ardent more than the Mg's, I'm sure there are a couple guys on this board who would be willing to take one or more of those Mgs off your hands, you know, to help you raise money for more Ardents... ;D

Jeff,
Maybe I will work out some kind of 2 for 1 deal. Give me a new Ardent and i will trade a MG and 2 cans of spam for it.
