You know... this forum is really the place to be huh?  I can't believe how much the site has grown this past year.  There are lots new boards and great topics.  The advertising is really taking off too and DK has added a lot of great new moderators and contributors.

When I first started coming here, the forum was pretty modest in size and participation, but Dan has really done an awesome job growing it and getting some amazing participation.

Dan, thanks for doing such an amazing job this past year taking GLB to the next level.  You've done a great job with these forums.  Thanks for all the great new boards!

Come on guys... show your appreciation and give DK the pat on the back he deserves.

Not necessary but always welcome. All of you friendly and helpful members are what makes GLBass grow more than anything. When I tell new prospective members about all of you I say we have a 'no question is a dumb question' policy and everyone is nice to everyone else because of our 'be friendly' attitude.

As the increased success continues this year, I expect to be able to redesign the site after this year's season (probably with some help) to improve performance and make it easier to use the site.

Whether you see it or not, I work on this all the time - I'm still an angler first and a computer nerd 2nd so I have a lot to learn about all the coding and applications that go into running a web site. I'm presently testing new software and coding on other new sites to come up with the best approach I can to make adding and finding new content faster and easier. I always appreciate the great ideas I get from all of you. I'll use them when I can, but I usually save them regardless for opportunities.

There are some interesting services available that I would like to add once the budget is there for them. I also expect to get more prizes in to give away more often as rewards to the awesome members of GreatLakesBass.com!! Thanks!!!

Thanks Dan! I've only been a member for a little over a year and there have been some very nice additions to the site. I really appreciate the Christian Anglers Board you started. The thing I like best though about this site is how free every one is about giving their tips and how-to's. I finally figured out the uni-to-uni for attaching florocabon leaders to my fireline. This is a special group, you should take pride in your site, it's one of a kind.

Wow you mean DK actually fishes too. Usually when I see him he is trying to get everything ready for all the different shows or outings.LOL  Thanks Dan for everything.
Remember you don't quit fishing when you get old, you get old when you quit fishing

I was eaves dropping the other day Dan at the Lansing show.
I don't know how you can do all that you do.  Work, TBF, GLB, and handling the home front.
There is now way I could possibly put in a 17 hour day.
But, if we actually pay attention to the times on your posts, well, ....
you put in a lot of time.
You must be married to a saint.
Thanks a bunch.
This site means a lot more than you know.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

You forgot about his hot dog and soda addiction...  ;D

I don't know how he finds the time to do anything, truthfully.  There has to be some kind of government grant we can get him to support his addiction to volunteering for everything.

You left out pizza and Mexican food... I'm part Mexican on my Step-Dad's side!! Love it!!

I told Anthony I was too tired to fish that tournament that week... but then I would have missed out on being called sleeping beauty on the stage!?! (I've never been a morning person... which is not real conducive to tournament bass fishing.) I sure hope my co-angler has forgiven me. He did have a lot of bites.

Original song and lyrics by "MadWags"

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

djkimmel

That may be the first time I've been sang... sung... singed... seranaded. Thanks JT Wags. I'm touched... but not in the uncomfortable things guys don't say to each other kind of way...
