Went out today with a friend who doesn't have a Canadian license.  So we were stuck in US waters and admittedly I can't seem to get it going in US water this time of year.  Ugh. :-[  So we hit a couple of wrecks in the main lake and scored a few decent smallies, though nothing over 3lbs.  So with the bite being slow, we hit the Strawberry Island Break and managed just one more small one.

So what to do?  I really wanted my buddy who was with me to catch a few.  We had a couple hours left, so we hit the channels and did some largemouth fishing.  The first spot gave up about 7-8 smaller largemouth.  Eh. :-\'   So we headed down the Sni and found a huge school of Largies.  :o  We ended the day with about 30 fish. ><>  We did manage a few nice largemouth mixed in with lots of average and smaller fish.  But man was it fun.  The bite was strong on Green Senkos fished weightless near the little cut that goes into Fisher Bay.  Friday I'll be out in Canadian waters and am excited to get into some bigger Smallies.  I'll report back then.

Wish I had time to get over there.  Between fishing Tuesday and Thursday morning tournaments and taking care of elderly parents there are not enough days in the week.   Priorities are gong to be adjusted next year.  Fishing wise that is.
