St. Clair River Outing on 23rd of august

Sorry I haven't posted.  I've been out of town all week.  Yes, the best way to get to the N. Channel Ramp is to take 26 Mile to Palms.  Turn right and take it to the end and turn left back on to 23 (or whatever it's called up there).  Then follow it around to the ramp.  Rick is correct.  It's faster than taking 23 all the way there anyway.  It's not much of a ride to Fawn from there on the water, so I think it's an all around good launch for this event, especially for the US only guys.

Looking forward to it!  David, sorry you can't make it.  I know you were looking forward to it.  If you get a weekday off, call me and we'll go fishin'!

Regarding pairings, we'll have to pair up the guys who can only fish US waters.  Usually we pair up the week prior, but we haven't yet.  We're real casual about it, so if there's someone you prefer to fish with, just say so. 

How about we all figure out what water we can fish.  I will be fishing both Canada and the US sides.  So I prefer a partner for that day with both licenses.

NBB, no problem.  We'll get you and your dad on a boat together.  I'm glad you guys can make it.

That's 8 Boaters and 6 NB's.  But Dane and Scott want to ride together with their boater.  Who's got a larger boat and is good with 3 guys that day?

It'll make for a slower fishing day, but I'll be willing to stay on the US side since most if not all our NB's don't have Canadian licenses. 

With the lopsidedness in the boater ratio, are there any boaters willing to go as nonboaters Saturday?  I prefer not to.  Too much junk to haul out of my boat.

A couple people have asked me about dropshot weights and I just wanted to let you know that I'll be bringing some to sell with me in the morning. I have tube jigs also up to 3/8 ounce with 4/0 or 5/0 black nickel or red hooks.

There are quite a few guys, including you, that I haven't fished with yet since I've only made a couple of the outings this year.

The good thing is the year isn't over yet and hopefully the fishing will get better.

Around 2:00 works for me, unless the fish are jumping in the boat.
