Well... I got no bass report for last Saturday. I went out with Obi Wayne Kenobi (Carpenter), but we were on a mission! So, no pictures. We caught a small number of mini-toads, a decent number of solid bass, and a lot of smaller keepers and future keepers. It was a fun and informative day with my biggest bass coming from 4 feet to over 40 feet. I guess I didn't narrow things down real tight, but what the hey, we were fishing on one of the greatest bass fisheries in   the   world...

So what do you do? You get right back out there and fish it again. So I went out today (my first chance again since last Saturday) with my old buddy Jeff Bishop (who has been working waaayy toooo haard lately).

We didn't match last week's success quite as far as number of bigger bass. We did catch quite a few... a lot of little ones, but we did beat one thing about last week - we got this BIG OLE TOAD off of one of my old time favorites!!!

It was a beaut! And we let this magnificent smallmouth bass go right back into the water (where we had two more on almost as big - yeah)!

Now... if I can only find a few more spots just like it... ;D

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
