i was going to order some, but would like to know how you guys are rigging them? buying them does me no good if i don't know how to use them. i'm a rookie at bass fishing and any help would be great thanks guys.

Langer

I use a small octopus hook or you could use the Gamakatsu split shot/drop shot hook. I just nose hook them.

Drop shot them with a 1/0 or 2/0 straight shank Owner Finesse Hook.  It's just like the Gami dropshot hook, but without the little bend at the eye.

Waterfoul

I've been drop shotting them nose hooked on and Owner 1/0 downshot hook.  This is a thin wire hook that is so sharp you bleed just from looking at it!

I use either the circle type hooks with a little twist in them or the Owner ones like waterfoul. I like very small hooks though, I think #1 or 2. I made the mistake of putting them all in a Plano box so now I don't know which are which other than the Owners.
Here are some rigging pictures from Owner:

We fished Wixom Lake on Sunday, I forgot you are in that area or we would have tried to contact you. Next time I guess, the lake seemed really nice so I would like to go back.

I also dropshot them and they're a great bait. I use a #1 Owner mosquito hook for the 3 in and a #2 for the 4 in. Nose hook them and use a little bigger weight(3/8)or so, if you are new to this technique. It will help you feel out the bottom better. Id suggest tungsten. But its expensive and if you have good rods and line(flourocarbon) youll be fine with the BPS drop shot weights that are lead. Play with the length your off the bottom. i find in most situations 8-10 inches is perfect.-skeeterman-

Buckeye

I just recently started using these baits and really like them.  They seem very soft with a lot of action to them.  They have good "different" colors too, ones you can't get from the major tackle companies.

I actually hook my baits in two ways.  I nose hook like already mentioned, but I also thread the bait on the hook sometimes, making sure to expose the hook through the back.  I feel I get better hook ups this way, but you are sacrificing some action.  If the bite was tough, I would only nose hook.

I like the stand out hooks, but I've used the Gammie hooks at times too, and they work well also.

There Gobie and in that fact all there baits are the most bouyant baits out there! The stik bait is awesome. Ive won alot of money this year on there baits. They are truely awesome! Look @ the action on there baits compared to the rest its not even close! (put a Nemisis goby in the water against a poor boys or berkley gulp,no comparison.) There colors are awesome! If you fish smallies you know that the purple is a key! Id stick with the KLB or KLK! Awesome colors, KLB is my favorite! (For a Goby) My good buddy TCOOK told me that this bait was a very good key to his sucess this year.(It was a key in the last tourney on Erie) If you look back id love to be the 3rd best co in the Michigan Division! These baits are awesome and if your not throwing them thats your mistake!!-skeeterman-

how bout a plug from someone who doesnt have a big RED sticker ontheir signature ?????????

I absolutely love the small thin Gama DS hooks, and the small 1 owner ssw straight shank hook. Put in 2 - 3 mm into the nose, draw your tag line through the eyelet so it goes straight down. Adjust you knot so the hook is 90 degrees to the line.

Add about a 3/8 weight and your all set.

PS: NEMISIS 3" Erie goby clobbered em this year. The large white and black flake on the motor oil  or green  pumpkin gobie just pumelled the smallies this year. Thanks Chris and Brian !!!
Thanks Dan for bringing year round Catch and Release to Michigan
