Well, it's been my most significant effort in time and cost to date, but the GreatLakesBass.com Fishing Video Service is finally up and running!!

Just go to www.greatlakesbass.tv to get to the Video Service (www.greatlakesbass.com/video/ - if you have bookmarked the old index.html page, you will need to redo your bookmark or delete it).

You can see the 'Featured Video' which once you all start to upload your own fishing videos - yes, you can upload your own fishing videos!! - I will change the featured video to show some of your excellent handiwork from time to time.

You can go to the fishing videos browse page to page through all the uploaded videos 2 at a time. Just use the Next >> and Previous >> links to page through them. Videos will change often once you all start to upload your own masterpieces!!

As mentioned, you can upload your own videos - complete terms and conditions are on the upload page - you must be a member of GreatLakesBass.com or a site sponsor to upload a fishing video. Limits and other instructions are on the page. No spam or unapproved advertising will be tolerated. The videos will be monitored constantly and any violations will be deleted so all you get are good fishing-related video to watch. If you are unclear about the appropriateness of a video, you can contact me before you upload at 'video at greatlakesbass dot com.'

Please understand that this is a significant cost and time effort, so there may be times I have to temporarily shut down uploads or possibly viewing to keep from doubling to quadrupling my monthly cost. I hope you all use it that much since we all love to watch a good instructive or entertaining video!! Especially for us northerners approaching the 'hard' water season!!! ;D I feel this is an important addition to GreatLakesBass.com and worth the extra cost and time. I hope you all agree.

It is starting out fairly simple for now due to the complexity of calling video web services (which includes the programming cost). As the fishing video service grows and develops, interest and site revenue will dictate if I can justify improving the service to include things like member-linked videos and search features. They are on the 5-year plan but not yet! :D

Thanks for being a member and enjoy!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
