Around 5PM today things got weird!

Apparently sometime near 5PM today (Tuesday, April 7, 2020) a new friend came along deciding it might be fun to drown my server in unauthorized access attempts. Though it was only 1 IP address (Thank goodness for that!!!!!) however this wonderful person did it, it started repeatedly crashing my entire MySQL, which means this forum and everything else that needs a database wasn't running or barely running. That includes email so I'm surprised I didn't get a bunch of phone calls from web clients?!?

In case someone was trying to use the forum and couldn't figure out what was going on?? Before 5:30 I had spotted the very large number of requests against one website. As soon as I blocked that one loser MySQL stabilized and my server loads went WAAAAAYY down! I've never actually seen a server load that high on this server!!! #$%!#$*! hackers!! grrrr

I wish I HAD an ion cannon!!! And then, I knew where to aim it. I would... BLAM!!! One hacker gone... X more to go...
