Looking forward to the seminars and great boat deals at Matteson Marine next up (and the cinnamon rolls too ;D ). I'm still trying to decide if I like the Z21 or the new Z520 better?!? The 208VX is an intriguing model.

I hope to see all of you there on the South end of Gun Lake. Say hi to Vaughn Mills and tell him you heard about the open house on GreatLakesBass.com!!

(whoops! typo in the model number - sorry Forrest)

I'm curious Pat, is the 209 an updated version of the 205?
Jeff

Pkleppert

Its called a 208VX and its basically a revamped 520VX.  They put new consoles and seats in the boat and renamed it to fit better in the VX lineup.  Now we have a 170, 178, 188, 198, 208 as our VX lineup.  Its a 20' 9" boat rated for a 225 just like the 520 was but at a lower price tag.

Jeff  I can see you in one of those.

djkimmel

You too dartag. Then you can stay out on the big water longer and Lola has a lot more room to frolic in! ;D

McCarter

When will they let me finance for 50 years?  I desperatly need (want) a new boat but im still just a poor boy from a poor family.  A new 208VX would look good being towed down the street behind my 09 Dodge Caliber.

McCarter himself :-\'

BryanP

McCarter--Sounds like you got your priorities mixed up.  The new 208vx is supposed to come before the 09 Caliber!  Besides, with all the gobies you're pouring now, Nemisis Baits could surely use a tax deduction! ;D

And anyone going to the Matteson and/or Lindy's open house, be sure to give John Gillman a hard time!  He's a great walleye pro, but he's also a closet bass fanatic!

You buying?
Jeff

Bender

The only time out of our booth at the last  show was spent drooling over that Z522 Wonderland had. Only 9,999 bags of gobies to get it.  :(

since i will be writing checks to MSU or Grand Valley the next 4 years,  that will be like buying a new boat every 2 years..    Looks like Lola will be riding the old Ranger for quite a few years...

Hope to see everyone at Matteson Marine next Saturday and I'll get info on Lindy's and Wonderland Open Houses ASAP.

Pat

Durand Dan

I'm thinking of heading down. Anyone from the Durand/Lansing area want to tag along?

djkimmel

You could ride with me, but I'm going early and staying late (at least until the cinnamon rolls run out ;D)

Just wanted to let everyone know that there will be a "hands on" Humminbird Side Imaging class this weekend at the Matteson Marine show.

cr

Bryan what the time for the class?

BryanP

Not sure of the time.  I just talked to our guy from Johnson Outdoors who is doing the seminar and got confirmation that he was able to make this happen.  So you might call Matteson.  They have the seminar listing on their website, but no time schedule.

djkimmel

The Humminbird Side Imaging class (I recommend it and hope to be watching too) will start at either 11 AM or 11:30 AM and run for 1 hour according to Win Matteson.

The Matteson web site will be updated for all seminar times a little later today.

Bryan,
Is there any specific time that you plan on starting the seminar?
As of now, I plan on being there, as long as I do not contract the flu bug that my wife has.
