Braided Line Lube.

hey i was wondering if anyone could tell me where i could fine some braid line lube? i have 10 pounded braided line but every time i get a back lash it must burn the line or something cuz the next time i get a back lash it slices right thro it and im getting tired of losing lures for no reason. any advise is helpful.

I am not really sure what you have going on....
Here is what I do for Braid...I use Mono as a backer...I reel on a layer of tape then I put on 2 full casts or so of braid....That way if I get a backlash it will only go so far into the reel and makes it way easier to dig out.....10lb braid is pretty light on a baitcaster...What are you using it for? Maybe Flouro or a spinning rod would be better for your application..
As far as Braided line conditioner....I have never used KVD or any other type of conditioner on braid..I am sure someone will chime in with some advice though..The braids that I have used have performed fairly well without it...P-line, power pro, Stren, Fireline etc...

Baitcasters can be tough with braided line, I try to stick to spinning reels when I can.  Using Power pro will eliminate some problems, it's much more manageable than the rest of the superlines.  If you want line lube just get some silicone spray from an auto supply store, only $3.

i had the same problem when i first started using braid lots of backlashes, i just played with my reel ajustments till i could get it to where it doesnt backlash as much but still got some distance but i still want to get more im thinking of downsizing my line size. KVD line&lure conditioner might help the problem too. im at 65lb for my frogs but dont feel like im getting the distance i should get on them when fishing them vast slop fields, im thinking 30lb will do it but im gonna have to do some more research

The only braided line i'm using right now is the SpiderWire Stealth Moss Green. 30lb for frogs and slop fishing. And 55 or 60lb for my 3/4 oz spinnerbaits. That high of test is just because I am never sure what is gonna knock the snot out of the spinnerbaits on Lake St Clair. Never had a prob with backlash on either. I just played with the backlash and magnets till I got where I want it.

I agree... sounds like your reel isn't set up correctly for the line/lure you are using it on.  The KVD conditioner does work on braid... it keeps it a bit more supple and limp... though Power Pro usually stays that way anyway.

I suggest you spend some time working on your reel set up. In the back yard perhaps.  The mono backer is a must in my opinion... if not for the easier backlash removal then definitely for the $$ you save by NOT filling an entire spool with braid.

The lightest braid I use is 20lb and I use that on spinning gear.  On casting gear I use 50 or 65.  I only use Power Pro no matter what.  Mono backer is most important so the braid won't slip or spin on the spool, learned that the hard way.  I agree that you need to work on your reel and your casting to resolve the is issue not the line.

Line is a tool like any other equipment. Many pros only use 65 lbs test because it tangles less and simplifies choices.

I like using heavy braid because when u get into the early to mid summer the weeds start growing real heavy and those fish like to bury themselves in it. I want something i can pull them out without thinking about it.
