Just curious as to your cash outlay this winter. If your not finished guess at what you think you will spend by the time you drop your boat in the water for the first time. Tackle only

Way to much ;D ;D ;D What can I say its an addiction.

LipRip

same! But my other excuse is that this is the first winter after my first tourny season.....so i'm still building my rod/reel arsenal!

i still have to get a gps................I need to win the lottery!

I put some serious money into my equipment the two winters before this one since I had nothing left from my teenage years when I started bass fishing. Finally I am to the point now where I just need to restock tackle and upgrade maybe one setup each winter. I probably spent 400-500 this winter so far but that # will go up considerably before the season begins since I still need line and more plastics.
FISH HARD!!!

Skulley

I probably will spend more this year than in the past.  I found some rods that I like that are not going to be made anymore and bought all I could.  Since I bought some rods, I will need new reels for them.  A rod is no good to me without a reel......at least that's the story I tell my lovely bride.   :o

You need to fish the first ROI event on Muskegon... we'll be giving away a Humminbird GPS/Fishfinder combo AND a Minn Kota Maxxum trolling motor to one lucky winner.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

I spent quite a bit this year, but was much smarter about it.  I bought a 1,000 yd spool of the line I like and only replenished the good cranks, jigs and soft plastices that I found are the most productive.  I realized there is no sense having 10 colors when pretty much use 2...even if they do have a really cool looking new variation of something I found didn't work last year!

I really don't spend too much on tackle anymore. We make all the plastics we use and all our jigs and spinnerbaits. All I really buy is line, cranks and terminal tackle. That puts me right in the middle.

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Cy

I said 250 to 500 but I really don't keep track of what I spend.  If I think about it, I have already spent 200 or 250 on a new stuff and rob building components and it is only January!  This sport is an endless cycle of replacing what you used, trying new stuff and upgrading what is getting old or out dated.

I planned on it!

If I tracked it then I'd know I'm nuts... therefore no tracks!

been buying material and making jigs this winter.     going to be some happy pike next summer.     Funny thing was the tackle I found in my boat that i bought last winter and never took out of the package.

Cheetam

The last 6 years or so all I buy is pretty much terminal tackle and discount crankbaits.  I'd say under 200 total.

I guess this can't be counted on as a regular buying season for me; I'm headed for the FOM National Championship at Guntersville in April.  You don't think I'm spending a small fortune?   ;D

I'm putting out around $200 for line alone.  Did I mention my bad Japanese bait habit?  I'm buying 10 inch power worms for the first time ever.

Thank heaven for an understanding wife.  Or maybe it's one of those "she knows, but turns a blind eye anyway".

No matter what I'm a lucky SOB... 8)

mikesmiph

I thought mine might be distorted too, seeing how I'm buying stuff for two of us. But, when I add it all up, we're both over the top. Can I vote twice? LOL

matt

Eh,I'm over the $500 mark already this year.I'm not even done yet......Winters kill me.

Got Fish??

I'm under $200 this year. learned my lesson last few years. I'm only getting what i need. Know sence in buying those lures that catch fishermen!

bassassasin88

I got about 100$ in crappy colored crankbaits to repaint. Should keep me busy all winter. Plus I plan on buying a "set" of new falcon bukoo rods, and a 7'10" cranking stick. Lots of new x-tra deep cranks I wanna try also. Then theres always the BPS reel trade-in, where you can save some big bucks on a new reel.
