When you are in any contest you should work as if there whereto the very last minute a chance to loose it.

So Dan what did you enjoy more? Peacock bass fishing on the Rio Negro or LM fishing in Mexico?

That is a tough question... Comedero was a blast, but these peacocks... I keep hearing that cinder block dropping into the lake and jerking awake in my sleep... the numbers are in Mexico, but the burnt thumbs and heartbreaking giant that crashed my topwater twice (and frankly could have eaten most of what I caught in Mexico) is in Brazil so I'll say the Rio Negro... but I'm still (hopefully) going back to Mexico next winter :) Big lakes and there might still be a bass in one of them big enough to not get eaten by a peacock bass.

Comedero's lake record is 19 pounds. There might still be a giant like that in that lake though we are probably going to El Salto next time. Not too bad a deal though since El Salto was smoking hot in 2009!! And... there's a new lake... I just don't have any details on when it will be open yet... but I have my ear to the ground.

More we need more

More coming. So many pictures and a little video (hard to put down the fishing rod...) and you have to see yet why I call Jim, Caiman Jim now...

You'll get to see how close I came to being able to buy a "I went to Brazil and a caiman ate my camera" t-shirt.
