Great Tourney Opportunity on Muskegon Lake

I was asked to spread the news about a "Fishing with the Pros" event for the Lifeline Youth and Family Services charity that will be held on Muskegon Lake, September 5th. You can contribute to fish with a pro in the tournament or you can sign up with your own partner to fish. It's a $125 entry fee plus $10 big bass pot. Use this link for more information: http://www.fishwiththepros.com/muskegon_registration_information.asp

Consider it. It's a very worthwhile charity and the "Fish With the Pros" folks always put on a great event. If you have ever fished, or have been associated with the event that for many years has been held up in Traverse City, you know it's a high class event. The Traverse event has been so popular that they are having two this year. One is in October, and that one is already filled.
The Traverse event differs from the Muskegon tournament in that it's a two day weekend retreat and fishing trip. They are going to use the Spider Lake Lodge this year.
( http://www.antonco.com/spiderlakeretreat/  ) It's a beautiful place and it should be loads of fun.  Memories to last a lifetime, and a good way to make some good fishing connections.

That is a great idea, would be alot of fun.  I was all for it until i saw the $500 entry fee.  That's a little steep for me right now.  Maybe next time.

Dan

I think the entry for the Traverse event is 1K, but they sell out ever year. You can still fish the Muskegon event as a partner event. That price is pretty competitive.

Yeah, that price wasn't bad, $125 per boat, and $10 big bass (optional).  But, I was more interested in fishing with a pro.  That would be a great way to learn some new things.  I ran it by the wife last night, but I'm not really sure what the look on her face meant. ???

Dan

You ought to consider being a Marshal in a B.A.S.S. event if you want to learn from a pro. $100 total will get you three days with three different pros. You can't beat that experience.  Way better than hiring a guide who takes you to some community holes. You know when you ride with the Elite pros you're going to their best spots. If you are at all interested I have the whole week from last year pictures and write up archived on my teardropbass.com website.
I'm leaving for two weeks, in about two weeks, to go down to Marshal the Pickwick and Guntersville tournaments. We are going to fish three or four days on Wheeler where we Marshaled last year in between the two events.

That would be awesome.  I'd like to see the pics from that.  I would really like to fish with a pro on my home lake, which is Muskegon.  I would like to see how one of them breaks the lake down verses how I fish it.

Anything!! other than a big smile and a hearty Yes!! ... is a no ;D

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I'm only confused because my wife generally doesn't tell me no.  I've gotten funny looks before, but she usually always lets me have my way.  I got very lucky.
