since Jig fishing is my new obsession I have been sitting here reading anything I can find.  I read a bunch of articles about real pork trailers on jigs.   definitely old school fishing.    anyone ever use them.

I use a few now and again. Tough to put on a hook sometimes and really hard to get off. Don't let them dry out or they become like a rock. Don't really have to worry about losing them because they won't pull off the hook. I like the 3 inch black eel.
Remember you don't quit fishing when you get old, you get old when you quit fishing

I just read that article in BASSIN' as well.  I generally only use pork trailers in the late fall when it really start to cool down and I want a really slow and subtle movement on my jig.  I also like the strips or eels on a spoon or silver minnow - they still work great for pike!

Funny stuff.... I have cabin fever so bad I purchased that magizine again not knowing I already had it. Now I have 2 issues of the same mumbo-jumbo. ;D

Pork is actually harder to find that I thought it would be.
