Coming up Tuesday or Wednesday, our government may decide whether or not they will loan the auto industry money needed to retool and invest in the near future. GM and the other manufacturers say they can’t get the money they need due to the banking industry emergency. They say they may go bankrupt if they don’t get this money causing a possible cascading effect through our entire economy at a very bad time, particularly for Michigan.
