GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. � The Kent County Sheriff Department will hold a free Off Road Vehicle Certification Class on Saturday, March 18 at the Ultimate Sport Show-Grand Rapids. The 72nd annual event, Michigan’s largest sport show, is at DeVos Place, 303 Monroe NW in downtown Grand Rapids.
GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. � The Kent County Sheriff Department will hold a free Off Road Vehicle Certification Class on Saturday, March 18 at the Ultimate Sport Show-Grand Rapids. The 72nd annual event, Michigan’s largest sport show, is at DeVos Place, 303 Monroe NW in downtown Grand Rapids.
The class is scheduled from Noon to 5 p.m. Pre-registration is not required. Students who check in at the show entrance will be escorted to the classroom on the third floor. When the class ends, they will receive free admission to the sport show, which runs until 8 o’clock that evening.
State law requires that all drivers under 16 years of age must pass the class and carry with them the certificate to operate motorcycle dirt bikes, quad-runners and other off-road vehicles (ORVs) on public or private property. Older ORV operators also are welcome to attend.
According to the Kent County Sheriff Department, students will learn the laws and safety rules during the five-hour class.

NEW show hours are 1 to 9 Thursday; 11 to 9 Friday; 10 to 8 Saturday; and 10 to 5 Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 14. Kids 5 and under get in free.
